Engineering Coordinator

 

Description:

Technology is fundamental to the effective delivery of the XOCEAN service. The Engineering Management team have responsibility for ensuring that engineering resources are directed effectively. This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the systems and processes that support Engineering Management decision making.

 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Day to day activities will be varied, and will include:

  • Own and manage the Engineering Development task list, including system administration and development.
  • Facilitate Engineering Change Management meetings, issuing agendas and updating progress reports.
  • Facilitate decisions on the prioritisation of projects by collating and presenting information on cost and benefit of various upgrades, and available resources.
  • Drive the team towards project close-out and provide support as necessary.
  • Support engineering interface with Procurement in setting up new suppliers, raising purchase orders etc.
  • Support the team in monitoring and reviewing budget reforecasting through the year.

 

 

Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience

The successful candidate will have a proven record of managing projects and improving systems or products with excellent drive to produce results in short timescales.

  • Level 6 qualification (Diploma or higher) in a technical discipline.
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic, positive, and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational, and team working skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills across all applications.
  • Proven ability to develop strong system expertise.
