Description:
We are recruiting an experienced Engineering Service Maintenance Manager for our pharmaceutical manufacturing site in North Dublin. The successful candidate will lead best in class site Engineering and Maintenance Services to maximize the availability and reliability of process equipment and utilities equipment. You will manage and have oversight of a team of direct reports and third-party contractors. You will drive and deliver top tier maintenance performance through our Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP).
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage and support the plant engineering team with the next level of Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) to fully integrate MEP and Reliability into the culture.
- Deliver top tier maintenance of manufacturing, utilities and facilities equipment through effective management and deployment of ME&C Maintenance Excellence Programme.
- Track, assess and improve MEP key performance indicators (KPI’s) parameters such as asset utilisation, maintenance cost, site maintenance compliance, schedule adherence etc.
- Improve performance of maintenance of manufacturing, utilities, facilities and associated equipment by overseeing and implementing site reliability-based asset care program.
- Implement effective maintenance and reliability solutions for engineering systems including Life and Process Safety systems, Electrical & Instrumentation, ATEX systems and Mechanical integrity.
- Develop a proactive team culture, capable of anticipating and resolving issues in a timely, robust and effective manner.
- Enhance team engagement through regular one-one meetings, coaching and mentoring.
- Embed Safety Culture ensuring safety standards and safe working practices are adhered to.
- Negotiate cost / quality effective external contracts and ensure effective management and control of contractors on site.
- Manage relevant budgets within target.
- Engage with the Engineering Site Lead and SLT to support the development of the strategic and functional goals, schedules, and timetables for activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or a relevant subject area.
- Membership of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland (IEI) would be an advantage.
- 5+ years experience as an Engineer, plus 4 years experience as an Engineering Supervisor/Manager (minimum 9 years experience).
- Previous experience in Manufacturing, Facilities/Utilities maintenance or project experience including Black and Clean utilities, steam, HVAC, purified water and clean air and wastewater treatment within the pharmaceutical/medical device industry.
- Demonstrate knowledge and implementation of 5S, TPM, SMED, and other lean/six sigma/continuous improvement tools.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills in addition to strong attention to detail.
- Proven track record of managing, guiding and coaching teams.
