Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to play a key role in delivering Strategic Change at Aviva. The ideal candidate will have a background in Life & Pensions and underlying IT applications. This role will involve working closely with key stakeholders to elicit requirements, design solutions, and drive change to enable us to meet our strategic goals within budget and deadlines. The successful candidate will be extremely agile, with excellent problem-solving skills and be able to provide creative and innovative solutions to problems.
- Represent the Life Platforms team on Strategic Change Working Groups
- Gain a full understanding of the IT expectations and communicate this to senior IT management
- Be the key IT driver to building the business case for strategic change by providing high level estimates, resource costs, expected delivery timescales
- Contribute to the risks, issues, constraints, assumptions and decisions logs
- Manage, track and report on the IT delivery on strategic change, communicating detailed requirements, removing blockers, communicating to Working Group or Steering Committees on progress, route to green etc.
- Assist in the assessment and onboarding of 3rd party applications
- Lead stakeholder management and change management analysis and recommendations
- Collaborate with and influence core stakeholders (incl. sponsor, business representatives, programme & project managers) to drive awareness and buy-in
- Identify and manage internal and external dependencies, affecting solution design / implementation
- Educated to Degree Level in an IT-related discipline
- A thorough understanding of the Life Insurance Market, protection and unit linked products.
- Possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Stakeholder management experience
- Project Management experience an advantage
- Software development and database skills a distinct advantage
- Ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of automated test tools
- Ability to prioritise and re-evaluate priorities as situations change.
