Full Job Description
Working in partnership with our client and due to their recent growth Hartley People Recruitment are looking to for an Finance Assistant to join their team.
The role will be to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts along other duties as required
Role:
- Preparing and posting monthly journals including depreciation, accruals and prepayments
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Payable – setting up suppliers, posting invoices and creating monthly payment run
- Reporting on aged payables and reviewing open purchase orders
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Managing the Fixed Assets Register
- Assisting with inventory discrepancies
- Revenue compliance including VAT Returns and RTD
- Reconciling credit card statements
- Processing customer direct debit mandates and creating the monthly direct debit file
- To provide support in all office administration duties
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
- Ability to learn I.T. systems quickly
- Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Positive approach to teamwork with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increase
