Finance Associate

 

Description:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Finance Associate with experience in Fixed Asset reporting, to join their Cork or Dublin office. This key member of a cross-functional, multi-national accounting team will manage the end-to-end process for Fixed Asset accounting. Reporting to the Director of EUCAN Controllership, this position will support both regular and ad hoc financial reporting activities and will interact significantly with finance management and global accounting teams.

 

What will my day-to-day look like?

  • Process Fixed Assets transactions per procedures and defined timelines, including setting up accurate fixed asset coding, processing Construction in Process items, and reconciling all Fixed Assets Clearing accounts.
  • Conduct month-end close duties for Fixed Assets sub-ledger, including analysis, recording, and reporting in accordance with local and US GAAP, ensuring reconciliation between sub-ledgers and general ledgers.
  • Report fixed asset acquisitions, capitalizations, and dispositions within the accounting system, and manage depreciation runs.
  • Review and approve all Fixed Asset purchase requisitions.
  • Collaborate closely with the projects team on various tasks, particularly project accruals, cost reports, and contractor cost allocation.
  • Support the year-end financial statement audit process and the SOX audit process.

 

What do I need?

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls is desirable.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
