Description:
They're seeking a Finance Director to lead the business's day-to-day finance function and financial development for the next growth phase. The role will work closely with the Managing Director with a succession plan of moving into the MD role in the near future.
Role:
- Drive commercial value, operational efficiencies, and strategic development across the organisation.
- Provide strategic insights into business performance both internally and externally.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions ensuring smooth & timely execution of all accounting processes and reports.
- Ownership of monthly accounts and all reporting KPI packs.
- Proactively managing cash flow and analysing financial position in alignment with company goals for ARR, growth, and profit margins.
- Collaborate with sales on new business proposals/tenders and be actively involved in commercial pricing models and unit economics.
- Continuous review of internal controls and procedures to ensure adequate financial and non-financial checks and balances are in place to safeguard cash flow and profitability.
- Focus on leading indicators, profit margins, and cash flow management to automate reporting evolution.
- Review working capital and ensure it is correctly managed to maximise cash flow.
- Produce 12-month rolling forecast figures for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Develop the finance team and ensure the team is adequately trained and upskilled.
- Review the costs in the business and identify cost savings.
- Review any strategic projects and ensure they meet the required ROI.
Candidate:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong digital and financial skills, energetic and collaborative with a proven track record of delivering operations growth and financial efficiency improvements in a manufacturing/ production business over 5 years.
- 10 years of finance experience preferably in food production industries, ideally having worked their way up to an executive role but not mandatory.
- Well-rounded with commercial acumen and previous P&L responsibility.
