Financial Accountant

Description:

Our client is a multinational who operate in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector. With an increase in business in the back end of 2022 they are now looking to add to their finance team. As the Financial Accountant, you will report to the Finance Director.

This is an exciting role for someone who is a high calibre, ambitious, qualified accountant with drive, determination and the ambition to progress their career working in a dynamic, highly commercial and growth focussed environment, in a company operating to the highest plc standards.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the highest standards of internal controls and financial support services are in place.
• Work with the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams as required.
• Generate and interpret key management information to support decision making for commercial and financial initiatives in the Ireland commercial and operations divisions.
• Monitor working capital and pursue improvement initiatives, with focus on stock, debtors and creditors.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the Ireland division.
• Assist in year-end financial reporting and liaise with external audit.
• Prepare statutory accounts, and various other statutory returns.
• Participate in various projects on an ad hoc basis.

• Strong IT skills including advanced proficiency in Excel.
