Financial Accountant

A leading insurance company is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small and dynamic finance team and gain exposure across all areas of financial reporting. If this sounds exciting to you, then please read on!

The ideal person will be responsible for Tax reporting, Regulatory reporting, Management accounts and balance sheet recons. A key focus will be on teamwork and this person will need to have the ability to adapt so that a high quality of service is delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Preparation and reporting of all financial reporting including assisting in the annual audit of the financial statements
• • Support of the Accounts Payable function
• • Quarterly Forecasting and Budgeting
• • Performing month-end close activities including posting of accrual and prepayment journals, analytical reviews & budget variance analysis of monthly P&L
• • Monthly reporting to the CFO and CEO
• Supporting the development of trainee accountants

Key Requirements:

• • Qualified Accountant
• • Ability to use own initiative
• • Proven ability to adapt to workloads and requirements of a finance function
• Highly motivated and be able to work under pressure
