Financial Accountant
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Finance Directorate and will working closely with all key finance and operational management of the Service.
- Location will include a facilitation for a blended remote working arrangement.

Purpose and Principal duties
- Preparation of monthly accounts to trial balance
- Preparation and submission of monthly financial information and reports for executive and board consideration
- Assist with audit and internal audit reviews for the company
- Position on offer shall involve developing into the company lead on financial information systems to include Open Accounts, Makodata, Purchase to pay system. All training shall be provided.
- Review and approval of central and pension payroll and willingness to act as cover for payroll. Completion and submission of payroll taxes
- Comfortable in a leadership role
- To constantly review processes and create efficiencies where possible
- Develop efficiencies in Open Accounts and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) e.g., number of invoices and journals processed
- To constantly review processes and create efficiencies where possible
- Engagement with the wider management team
Key Skill requirement
- Minimum three years’ experience working in accounts preparation. Practice trained and knowledge of the Charitable/government sectors would be an advantage.
- An accountancy qualification would be an advantage
- IT systems and advanced excel and word experience required (Previous experience on Open Accounts will be a significant advantage).
