Financial Accountant

Our client has a strong track record and is looking to add a financial accountant to the team due to growth.

The successful candidate will directly report to the CEO and lead a small finance team. This is a strategic role with the opportunity to become a shareholder in the company.

As a Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the financial aspects of an organisation. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Prepare monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Audit: Coordinate external audit. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Taxation: Prepare and file tax returns. Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.
• Financial Systems and Software: Utilise financial management software and tools to streamline processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified
• 3-5 years experience.
• Audit experience in top 10 firm preferable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
