Financial Accountant

Description:

The financial accountant will work within a team and closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Controller to manage the reporting of financial accounts with specific emphasis on month-end reporting. This will suit a qualified accountant with Industry experience looking for the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsibility for the journals and general ledger to ensure timely completion of month end process.

· Calculation of cost of goods sold in the manufacturing process to support Gross Margin analysis Monthly review of overheads.

· Provide accurate month end reports to support the management accounts process.

· Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts

· Maintain Customer rebates and discounts.

· Involvement in the development of new accounting / ERP system

· Assist in preparation of tax returns.

· Support to the cash management process/preparation of rolling cash flow statement

Experience/Requirements

· Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA

· Accounting experience within the manufacturing/retail/FMCG industries preferred.

· Good knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and tax laws.

· Experience of working with ERP systems is an advantage.
