Financial Accountant

Barden is delighted to be working with a well-known West Cork business with a strong track record in its industry to identify a Financial Accountant to join the team.

They are looking for an analytically minded finance professional with some industry experience and a solid understanding of month-end accounting, and who is keen to further develop their financial accounting skills in this broad role. The position includes financial accounting, reporting and transaction management. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be analytical, proactive, and skilled at building relationships across the business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Managing day-to-day finance operations.
• Taking responsibility for the month-end reporting process.
• Analytical review of results and investigation of variances and reporting to assist business performance.
• Liaising with external auditors and supporting the audit process with timely and accurate information.
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders within the organization.
• Implement best practice finance function systems and controls.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• Qualified Accountant with 2+ years PQE.
• A desire to work in a team environment.
• A positive attitude, a high level of personal integrity, and an organized, efficient, and confident personality.
• The ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
