Position Overview
CRH is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Team. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting team forms part of Group Finance in CRH, based in Stonemason’s Way, Dublin. The team has responsibility for a number of internal and external reporting processes and performance analysis including parts of the Annual Report, the Sustainability Report, monthly CO2 and KPI reporting (currently being developed) and other regulatory and voluntary sustainability reporting.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Provide critical analysis for the monthly and annual reporting process including review of the data submitted by the operating entities and ownership of the related outputs with a key focus on data validation and analysis of critical trends, key performance indicators (KPIs) and drivers of KPIs
- Preparation and review of the sustainability related disclosures, such as EU Taxonomy in the annual report in compliance with regulations and laws
- Formalise processes and controls within the Corporate Sustainability Reporting team and implement controls over sustainability reporting in the annual report
- Implement enhanced reporting and more frequent reporting around CO2 emissions and other sustainability KPIs
- Build strong relationships while working extensively with Divisional and operating company Sustainability and Finance teams on reporting requirements and analysis in order to provide greater insight into their performance and results
- Provide high quality ad hoc analysis to senior management as requested to support decision making
- Work with other Group Finance teams to review and evaluate the accounting and financial reporting implications related to Sustainability reporting matters
- Focus on continuous improvements in all processes and outputs to add value and drive business results
- Use of technology, data analytics and power BI to improve the efficiency of the review process
