Financial Controller

Description:

This is a financial controller role that will enable the successful candidate to put themselves on a path to a seat at the top table within the Irish SME industry. The plan is for the new hire to implement a best in class finance function while also becoming the MD’s financial eyes and ears as they work in tandem to further grow the company.

Who should apply?

Candidate should be practice trained finance professionals with a minimum of 7 years PQE gained in in industry. From speaking with our client, we believe the candidate should have the capability to step into a decision-making financial controller position while aspiring to do the following:

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting to the Managing Director and running the day to day finance operations, the role will be very broad involving:

• Leading the finance department, developing and implementing robust financial processes and controls.
• Managing all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Overseeing treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning functions.
• Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decisions and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory, tax, and legal obligations.
• Mentoring and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
