The purpose of these roles are to support the monitoring, questioning and reporting of the Banks costs, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes in the Bank, support Management Accounts business partners, support of budget officers and other key stakeholders, and the review and update of procedures, to ensure the team produces timely, effective and accurate reporting to aid senior management in decision-making and monitoring the Bank’s costs.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of Bank-wide operating budget, projections, and expenditure information, in line with relevant governance, to ensure that accurate, timely information is received from and provided to stakeholders.
- Maintain the production, and continuous improvement of robust, timely and value-added reporting, analysis, and management information to support decision-making bodies. Contribute to the production of high quality information through expertise in SAP, BI Cube, Excel reports, SharePoint and so on.
- Support the reporting team lead by building and maintaining strong collaborative and professional relationships within FCD and beyond, especially with budget officers to enable efficient and effective engagement on all processes, such as postings checks, PO checks, staff list checks and budget / forecast interactions and support. Support the business partners in achieving their business support targets.
- Assist with the maintenance and development of the Central Bank’s costing models and the maintenance of the SAP cost centre architecture. Ensure all processes have up to date procedures in place.
- Adhere to internal controls at all times to maintain the integrity of financial data. Contribute to monitoring the accuracy of accounts, proposing improvements and remediation to correct ad-hoc and ongoing issues, suggesting improvements, and conduct month end tasks as assigned by the team lead such as accruals, prepayments reallocations, travel and other reconciliations, expenses tagging, staff costs reviews, daily posting reviews etc.
- A third level honours degree or professional qualification in a related discipline.
- Membership of the professional body, Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), is an indispensable condition of the tenure of the employment.
- Consideration will also be given to candidates who have commenced / will consider training towards a professional qualification. The Bank would cover the training through the APTs scheme, and can sign off on the relevant professional experience through the ACCA.
