Front End Web Developer

This opportunity will be temporarily homebased due to COVID-19, then subsequently working from our Dublin office.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join our Software Development team in our Dublin office. The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic software team, developing our online digital twin platform for community resource monitoring and management.

The day-to-day workload will involve developing online technology, collaborating with our existing software portfolio, participating in code reviews and providing input to the product.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Essential Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years commercial experience of developing software
• Strong competencies in:
• JavaScript (ES6)
• React with Redux state management
• HTML, CSS styling
• Webpack, yarn build system
• Consuming Web APIs
• Unit testing JavaScript practices and tools
• Experience working in full stack web development in a commercial environment
• Previous experience mentoring junior developers

Desirable Skills:

If you have knowledge, experience or even a keen interest in some of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you:

• Experience of working as part of an Agile team.
• Developing interactive 2D and 3D web tools using three.js / WebGL
• Experience working with a design system (e.g., IBM carbon)
• Experience with the following; ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core
• Experience of design and implementation of REST APIs
• Understanding of web application architecture
