Full Stack Engineer

Description:

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Universal Identity Platform (UID) team to serve the needs of millions of Fidelity customers.

An experienced engineer responsible for design and technical engagement with internal partners to implement a solution to drive adoption of new enterprise capabilities to centralize customer data management.

The successful candidate will have broad responsibility working with the larger team to drive system process updates, pipeline integration, API & data integration in cloud hosted applications to consume new enterprise capabilities. Security, resilience and operationally efficiency are core tenants that underpin everything the team does.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline

• 7+ years of enterprise IT development experience.

• Strong competence in Java, Spring Boot & REST API’s

• Experience using AWS cloud managed services (e.g ElastiCache, Serverless functions)

• Experience using Pub/Sub event frameworks (e.g. Kafka) desired

• Ability to Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.

• Experience driving operational transparency/observability and alerting at every critical process stage. (e.g. Datadog, Splunk, Open Metrics)

• Experience with resilient large complex performant IT systems.

• Exposure to Database / ETL, API & Cloud architectures a plus

• Strong development and technical skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile team

• Excellent written/verbal communication and people-interaction skills

• Experience with large complex processes and systems.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and change to meet the needs of a changing environment.

• Ability to lead team initiatives with energy and enthusiasm, whilst having the ability to effectively operate across a global team
