To improve patient experiences throughout the clinical trial lifecycle, Lilly is creating a new, leading-edge internal health literacy capability. This innovative team will be tasked with creating dynamic, patient-facing clinical trial communications in the realms of patient education, recruitment, retention, proactively executing fully coordinated health literacy optimized content strategies.
The purpose of the Associate / Senior Associate - Global Scientific Communication- Health Literacy Graphic Design is to produce engaging and streamlined patient communication in a graphical and multi-media format and to produce visually appealing layouts of clinical trial patient-facing content. The Associate / Senior Associate - Global Scientific Communication- Health Literacy Graphic Design is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of digital content including static images and video/animation content to be leveraged across multiple platforms and patient audiences, internally and externally in the scope of clinical trial patient-facing communications. The Associate / Senior Associate - Global Scientific Communication- Health Literacy Graphic Design will work closely with the Health Literacy team content creators as well as BU molecule teams to deliver on their dynamic content visions. The designer should anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks, interface with Lilly partners and integrate new business processes where necessary
This fast-paced role will put a successful candidate on the cutting edge of modern technology and patient communications strategy to deliver the right information to the right patient at the right time to improve the participant experience of Lilly’s clinical trial communications.

Accountable for CDDA Health Literacy Graphic and Multi-Media Content
Produce patient-facing clinical trial materials in an engaging, dynamic and health literacy optimized format
Use graphic and multi-media programs to dynamically create accurate displays of engaging patient-focused information to help individuals to make an informed choice about joining a clinical trial and to stay informed throughout the course of the trial
Incorporate changes recommended resulting from defined feedback loops into the graphics.
Leverage and create templates, as needed, to layout and format visually appealing content
Incorporate layout changes based on team input and feedback
Create and deliver recording, editing, and encoding audio files
Create and edit a variety of digital content (i.e., static images - medical illustrations, infographics; videos – interactive videos, animations, motion graphics, video post-production; and interactive web-pages) as defined by project owners.
Implement best practices from Lilly’s Health Literacy playbook and partner in the creation of a future state style guide for patient-facing clinical trial communications
Create dynamic content for internal OCM HL team materials and presentations, as needed
Understands and implement visual design principles of health literacy
Work collaboratively with team members to understand the creative content needs of internal business partners.
Coordinate with the other content creator roles on health literacy team to select and obtain needed permissions for assets (i.e. Permission Managed Content (PMC) and upload finished files to the asset management database.
Establish and maintain templates in various formats to ensure alignment to the business and internal standards.
Lead the development of storyboards.
Ensure all documents are prepared according to project briefs, usable/executable, and compliant with Lilly policies and procedures including the Lilly Brand Book and Lilly Design System
