Head Of Commercial Finance

Description:

One of Ireland's leading players in the Construction space is looking to hire a Head of Commercial Finance. This is a newly created role due to business expansion.

Responsible for financial planning and analysis. The Head of Commercial will lead the development of the group's annual budget, strategic planning, and quarterly reforecast processes.

You will play a pivotal role in the analysis of the financial performance of the company, providing data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop comprehensive budgets.
• Lead ongoing ad-hoc analytics for the Managing Director and Finance Director.
• Prepare and present periodic financial forecasts to executive management.
• Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing actionable insights.
• Build and manage a team fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director to align team goals with overall company objectives.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.

Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with circa 7 years post-qualification experience.
• Big 4 or similar experience.
• Commercially minded-with strong relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities with a talent for building cross-functional relationships.
• Capability to work independently under tight timelines.
