Description:
The Head of Enterprise Schedule Management is responsible for the establishment and operation of an enterprise-wide scheduling service that ensures bank wide roadmaps are coordinated, doable and sequenced efficiently. Expected outcomes of this role include:
- Working closely with the Investment Demand Planning team to ensure that the demand process produces a change roadmap which is achievable
- Assessing and assuring the achievability of delivering the change roadmap for the enterprise on an ongoing basis
- Oversight of the groupwide change portfolio so that potential scheduling risks, enterprise dependencies and conflicts can be identified using a multi-lensed approach
- Defining an enterprise-wide perspective of change that reduces scheduling conflicts and minimises the possibility of siloes
- Optimisation of project scheduling to support the delivery and safe landing of key projects whilst protecting critical BAU activity
- Acting as the "Air Traffic Control" for all change activities across the enterprise
Key Accountabilities
Portfolio planning and scheduling
- Lead the planning and schedule management services in the EPO
- Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop and maintain an optimal delivery schedule and ensuring no impact on critical business as usual activities
- Identification and proactive management of potential scheduling delivery risks.
- Co-ordinate impact assessment of changes to the roadmap with key stakeholders
- Lead scenario modelling of scheduling options where delivery contention exists in conjunction with SMEs, providing recommendations and associated cost/ benefits impact to senior stakeholders.
- Chair and facilitate enterprise portfolio planning meetings as required to review schedule of initiatives and assess changes to plan with representatives from teams that deliver change and wider business stakeholders.
- Publish on a monthly basis a baseline plan that captures and highlights all changes to the portfolio schedule.
- Work with the Head of Strategic Resource Mgt and Change Capability to understand the scalability and flexibility of resource pools to influence plans.
- Input into the Change Framework to ensure consistent planning standards, tools, common methods and outputs.
