Our Global Manufacturing Client in Monaghan are looking to attract a Head of Finance for their operation. With a global footprint this Company are a leading provider and innovator of modern methods and solutions with over 40 years’ experience in their sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting and accounting responsibilities. They will also be responsible for leading teams and implementing best practices to ensure that the company's financial processes run smoothly and drive its continued growth. The Head of Finance will play an integral role in the contribution to the overall strategic goals of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and manage team members across the finance function for each business under your remit in Ireland and the UK
- Responsibilities include external statutory reporting, management reporting, compliance coordination and financial control for the businesses.
- Ensuring weekly/monthly order intake, sales, contribution & KPI information is collated and reported to the Management team.
- Oversee and lead end to end processes for the monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
- Managing the external auditor relationship, audit process and coordination and preparation of quarterly audit committee materials.
- Build cross functional senior relationships to develop communication and influence across the business, leveraging expertise for financial decisions.
- Responsible for effectively communicating key areas of financial judgement to senior leadership, and other key stakeholders, creating insightful financial information to direct business and transaction decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with the Company’s Group accounting manual.
- Ensuring internal Authority Matrix limits are adhered to.
- Improving product/customer margin analysis, highlighting areas of potential cost reduction.
- Reviewing, approving and authorizing all electronics Bank payments.
- Co-ordinating the Strategic Planning & Budget process, including data gathering, analysis & preparation for review meetings.
- Ensuring agreed Group Credit Control policies are adhered to.
- Attending Monthly Management Meetings & record Action points and decisions as required.
- Ensuring our products and services are delivered in compliance with all appropriate regulatory standards and legislation and support our obligations certificated accredited systems for Safety (ISO 45001), Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Compliance Management (ISO 37301 New).
Key Requirements
- The successful candidate will be fully qualified with 8+ years experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional technical accounting, commercial, and strategic acumen with an ability to influence and secure buy in with stakeholders across a business.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with ambition, drive and agility to deliver in a deadline driven, fast paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage and implement change and transformation within a finance function.
