After becoming one of the fastest growing startups in the United States ($0 $11B) Rippling is setting its sights on Europe. To lead our growth in this critical, new market, we need someone who can take us from 0 to 1—and beyond.

We're looking for a seasoned growth leader with a founder's mentality. This person deeply understands the EU, with a track record of driving revenue from London to Berlin to Paris. The role won't be easy, but it will be fun. More importantly, it will play a major part in sustaining Rippling's ~3x YoY growth trajectory.

You'll drive our entire EU growth strategy along with all of our demand generation campaigns in Europe, from digital ads and field events to out-of-home campaigns. And you won't be constrained by resources: You'll oversee a multi-million dollar budget and have Rippling's world-class creative and growth teams at your disposal.

 

This role reports directly to Rippling's CMO. You'll not only be the first member of our EU growth team—you'll be the founding member of our entire EU marketing team. And you'll start scaling that organization on Day 1.

One last thing: We'll put you up in San Francisco for a few months, where our seasoned exec team will help you onboard and prepare for the most exciting chapter of your career.

  • Drive all demand gen and revenue in the EU—across 10 countries and counting. You'll be responsible for marketing Rippling and generating demand in the UK, Germany, France, and over a dozen other countries, through any channels you think will be most effective: LinkedIn, Facebook, email, events, outdoor advertising, etc. In addition to direct demand gen, you'll be responsible for owning our channel strategy and driving demand through reseller partners, like accountants and managed service providers.
  • Build our EU demand gen function from the ground up—and make it your own. You'll develop the founding growth strategies, experiments, and processes that will drive all of our revenue in the EU for years to come. But you won't have to play on hard mode. You'll be able to leverage a huge library of growth playbooks we've already proven out in the US, determine which of them are right for the EU, and adapt them for every market.
  • Found, hire, and lead the marketing team in the EU. You'll be the first Rippling employee in Europe—but you won't be alone for long. You'll be responsible for hiring two direct reports ASAP. Shortly after that, you'll be joined by dozens more from other departments across Rippling, as we quickly grow our EU presence and open an office there.
  • Act as the main liaison between the EU and the US. You'll regularly interface with Rippling's key decision-makers, including the CEO, CMO, and CRO, to help inform our broader company goals and GTM strategies.

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of B2B marketing at scale. You deeply understand how to use content, field marketing, direct mail, digital marketing, and more to drive efficient, scalable demand. The role will require light modeling and the ability to effectively deploy seven-figure marketing budgets to generate lead pipeline.
  • A strong sense of norms by country. If we could copy/paste American marketing messages in the EU and win, we would. But we know that would miss the mark. You'll ensure all our programs are relevant and properly tailored to local audiences.
  • A growth hacking mindset. You obsess over finding novel ways to efficiently scale every program—even when conventional wisdom says you're wrong. Successful candidates will have a track record of out-of-the-box ideas that drove significant growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'll regularly communicate directly with executives and other senior leaders. Fluency in 2+ languages strongly preferred (French, in particular).
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and a bias for action. We're still a startup. You'll have to operate with partial knowledge, get hands-on with projects, and constantly be rethinking how we do things. Plus, move very quickly.
