Description:
As Head of Sales, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our clients company. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of sales professionals, guiding them to achieve and surpass the ambitious yet attainable sales targets. The role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and an in-depth understanding of the Irish Life and Pensions market, particularly regarding retirement planning and protection.
The Job:
- Lead and inspire the team of sales representatives to achieve individual and company sales goals.
- Introduce and implement strategic and best practice in-house sales tracking processes and systems to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Implement and manage an efficient sales pipeline process in collaboration with the clients product providers to ensure the prompt processing and issuance of new business.
- Oversee the selection, training, and supervision of Life and Pensions Sales Staff.
- Manage, implement, and regularly review personalised sales plans for each sales team member.
- Provide ongoing coaching, support, and guidance to team members to enhance their performance, industry knowledge, and professional development.
- Set performance targets and objectives for the sales team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
- Meet your own personal sales targets as outlined in your contract of employment.
- Ensure that the sales process includes the timely completion and sign-off of all client files, ensuring they fully meet the current compliance standards set by the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Adhere to all relevant rules and requirements of The Central Bank of Ireland regarding the sales process, including all aspects of client contact, information exchange, and final product recommendation. This will be in conjunction with an external CWM Compliance specialist and annual mock compliance audits which must be successfully completed.
- Monitor and account for all commission receivable figures in terms of point-in-time actuals and accruals and have this data ready for the MD by the 5th working day of each month for the previous monthly trading period.
- Liaise with all relevant parties to the sales process, such as the payroll team and life company representatives, to ensure that all Life and Pensions related direct debit payments are set up properly and in line with the client's requirements.
- Build favourable business relationships with the Life Companies, Account Managers, colleagues, and all other parties relevant to generating and maximising sales opportunities across all product offerings.
- Collaborate with the MD to help organise 3 to 4 specific sales campaigns per year in conjunction with the Life and Pensions Producers.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to design sales campaigns and relevant product marketing material to assist sales growth.
