Description:
Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Health & Safety Coordinator to join their Compliance Department, focusing on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across Ireland. The role involves a combination of office-based tasks and site visits, working closely with the Health & Safety Manager for Ireland & the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all HSEQ requirements are met and upheld across various projects and sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive Health & Safety support to the Service and Project Departments.
- 2-3 years of experience in Health & Safety inspections, ideally within a construction, engineering, or similar environment.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that all personnel are working safely and in compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Engage with colleagues to encourage active participation in safety practices and foster a culture of safety across all levels.
- Monitor and audit the compliance of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Create, review, and consult on Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).
- Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety documentation and ensure project folders meet all HSEQ requirements.
- Collaborate with client Facilities Management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to safety on-site.
- Assist in the development of Health & Safety training programs in conjunction with the H&S Manager.
- Contribute to internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance and certification.
- Regular travel across Ireland to visit various client sites.
