Responsibilities
Training:
- Organising and booking of training sessions.
- Update of the company’s training register.
- Assess training needs through surveys and interviews with employees and managers.
- Request training certificates from new and existing employees.
- Developing and implementing learning strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with employees and managers to support career development.
- Manage training budgets.
- Identify training and development needs within an organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with management and the HR department.
- Monthly overview of training completed
HR:
- Assist with a range of administrative activities associated with the smooth running ofthe HR department including:
- Log and record completed PDP documentation and provide stats onsame
- Invoice allocation and approval for payment
- Certification, accreditation & professional membership fees
- Undertake mini projects as agreed by the HR leadership team, with support from relevant HR team members.
- Support the HR Lead by drafting and circulating meeting outcomes and action plans.
- Recording various types of employee data on HR systems and company shared drives (Training, Medical Certs, etc.)
- Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy by putting forward views, opinions and suggestions that positively impact on the ability of the team to help the business succeed.
- Benchmarking HR policies and practices with comparable organisations (construction and non-construction).
- Support the HR team to deliver a range of reporting activity (Board Reports, Performance updates, Regional Board reports and ad hoc reporting)
- Draft HR communications to provide up to date information to colleagues across the company.
- Work in collaboration with Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and other support functions to enhance the level of employee engagement across all support functions.
- Assist in organising logistics for Employee Engagement & Wellness event
Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or Equivalent
- Member of the CIPD.
- Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry is desirable.
- Experience working as part a HR department
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in an Administrative Role, Office environment or similar role.
- A positive can-do attitude. ·
- Understanding of the key principles of Employment Law.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication.
- Willingness to travel within Ireland.
