About Your New Role

  • You will be the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters onsite.
  • You will be diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by staff and pupils in a timely matter
  • You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the IT infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • You will monitor and maintain the school's ICT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, College VolP phone system, software applications and audiovisual equipment such as projectors, interactive whiteboards, and sound systems.
  • You will manage the setup and configuration of computers, printers, projectors, and other ICT equipment.
  • You will manage the two local area networks (LAN) and wireless network infrastructure.
  • You will ensure network security protocols are implemented and updated regularly to protect against cyber threats, both academic and administration protocols.
  • You will monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.
  • You will be maintaining an inventory of ICT equipment, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
  • You will coordinate the procurement of new hardware and software according to the College's needs and budgetary constraints.
  • You will be taking the lead for the digital plan and contribute to the strategic alignment of technology resources.
  • You will be collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement the digital plan for teaching, learning, and overall infrastructure, aligning with the College's educational goals and administrative needs.

 

 

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar position, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong technical skills in system administration, network management, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in configuring and supporting MS Windows, Google Apps and/or Mac OS environments.
  • Ideally you will be familiar with educational software and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication skills
