Description:
We are currently recruiting for an IT Engineer to join our IT Department in our Head Office based in Dublin 15. The IT Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day service operations, supporting resolution activities for service requests, applications and the desktop and server computing environment across our offices. The role will include liaising with our IT Manager and 3rd party vendors to ensure the smooth running of our back-end services. Whilst this role is predominantly based in our Head Office, travel to other office locations may be required from time to time and will be determined by the needs of the business.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Microsoft Suite:
- Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365 stack including, but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure, Intune, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power Apps
- Assist with the implementation and managing of Microsoft Forms and Workflows using Forms, PowerApps, Power Automate and Logic Apps
Day to Day Administration Duties:
- Ability to prioritise tasks by ensuring that business critical systems are treated with priority
- Troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues relating to Office PC’s and server operating systems, Microsoft 365 products, printers, network, backup devices, internet connections, etc.
- Act as Levels 2 and 3 Support to help resolve matters escalated or logged via the IT Helpdesk
- Liaise with our external IT Service Partners and internal IT Manager for resolution of major incidents, ensuring effective communication to all stakeholders and post incident review whilst ensuring that the IT Manager has visibility of such
- Responsible for the accurate management and maintenance of assets ensuring the lifecycle is recorded
- Replace assets and/or upgrade assets in a controlled manner with approval from the IT Manager
- Ability to plan projects and co-ordinate with stakeholders as required
- Assist with managing the security and integrity of the Company’s network and data to include but not limited to firewalls, GDPR compliance and file management systems
General Responsibilities:
- Assist with updating the disaster recovery plans by developing the technical documentation (developing technical procedures and policies)
- Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Recognised qualification in Computer Science, IT related discipline or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Service Management or a Support role with a strong track record
- Cloud certification and experience with Cloud technologies advantageous
- ITIL certified advantageous
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure disciplines including Microsoft 365 Stack, Data Centre / storage area of networks
- Familiarity with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to GDPR
- Stay informed about new technology and enhancements by researching and evaluating emerging technologies
- Supplier and Vendor Management Experience advantageous
- Ability to complete assignments with minimal direction
- Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal, with fluent English
- Must possess problem solving and analytical skills
- Works well independently and/or as part of a team
- Detail-oriented, strong work ethic, willingness to learn and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
