UCC wishes to appoint the UCC Innovation Communications and Marketing Officer. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the timely and appropriate dissemination of the activities, successes, potential and expertise across UCC’s research community across print, social and other media forms.
The post holder will report to the Director of Innovation in UCC Innovation, a constituent of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI).There will also be a dotted reporting line to the Director of Media and Communications, UCC. The post holder will be a central member of the UCC Innovation team, and will also work closely with colleagues in OVPRI, Office of Media & Communications, Office of Brand & Marketing Impact, the Colleges, Research Centres, Institutes, Cork University Business School and the Tyndall National Institute, among others. This will ensure alignment of brand and voice across the UCC innovation and entrepreneurship community, and co-ordination of key stakeholder events, to maximise synergies and outcomes.
The post holder will work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to translate complex specialist hi-tech information to relatable and accessible content for traditional and social media. Communication skills, and experience of event management, branding and marketing campaigns, and content management systems will be essential.
