On November 1, 2020, Dominion Energy sold its gas transmission and storage business to Berkshire Hathaway Energy. In light of this transaction, the application process and benefits package are temporarily shared by Dominion Energy and BHE Pipeline Group while the full integration of the gas transmission and storage business into BHE Pipeline Group is ongoing.

BHE GT&S has an Engineer Intern position available at our Bridgeport, WV location for Summer 2023! We are currently recruiting for a summer intern that is a Junior or Senior. The intern will work in an office environment with opportunity to go to the field with engineers from multiple disciplines including: Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Materials Science and Petroleum Engineering.

Specific functions may include any of the following:

• Work with engineering projects in the installation and maintenance of natural gas carrying components.
• Working with computer programs such as GIS and Auto Cad to understand how these programs are used in the gas industry.
• Learn and work with the mechanical and electrical equipment used in the gas industry.
• Work with the federal regulations that govern the gas pipeline industry.
• Learn the importance and application of the company’s gas pipeline integrity program and components.
• Work with and learn about natural gas integrity inspections to meet the integrity program requirements.
• Gain a basic understanding of the various aspects of corrosion, its impact on pipeline facilities, and how to prevent/mitigate corrosion within the gas pipeline industry.
