Description:
The Inventory Controller is fundamental in ensuring the correct positioning and alignment of inventory in accordance with policy requirements to ensure compliance and demonstrated control whilst reporting on key related elements. This will be achieved by working cross-functionally with teams such as Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, SAP Technical, Master Data, Purchasing, Finance, Distribution, and Commercial and coordinating activities relating to the role whilst providing functional support where required.
- Compliance with ISO13485:2016 and company policy requirements.
- Creation of change orders, QIs, and CAPAs in accordance with related procedures.
- Timely resolution and reporting of progress - 4-panel reviews, meeting attendance.
- New product introductions – acknowledge and approve.
- Managing inventory holding, stock statuses, and associated movements.
- Coordinate and manage awareness of why items are held in a particular inventory status.
- Reconciliation of 3PL data to SAP and LRD reconciliation support.
- Resolving inventory or warehouse-related IDOCS.
- Addressing and coordinating actions linked to SharePoint entries.
- The integrity of material record data and alignment of external systems.
- Management of shelf life-managed items – inbound controls and scrap.
- Support monitoring and measurement of activities performed.
- Support of the annual stock takes (where cycle counting isn't deployed)
- Cycle counting / regular stock checks.
- Variety of stock control activities:
- Special stock categorisation (lot sequestering, stock reservations)
- Regulatory hold support to QA.
- Investigations as identified.
- Assessment and approval of Master Data Requests.
- Interface Management.
- Acting on risk observations to minimise financial losses.
- Customer Service & LRD Support (returned goods, other)
- Provide functional support and guidance as required
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience within a Supply Chain environment is preferred.
- SAP system knowledge and experience.
- Ability to travel as required (with advance planning).
- In order to interact with sites in different time zones, occasional hours of working is required.
- Good knowledge of ISO13485:2016, Agile, and Supply Chain
- Competent in the use of MS Excel and other MS software solutions.
- Knowledge of SAP is a must as it forms a major part of the role.
- Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain end-to-end processes and the interdependencies such as Customer Services, Demand Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, and Distribution to help influence its overall effectiveness.
- Strong Supply Chain & Inventory skill base.
- To represent the department on cross-functional project teams, ensuring relevant actions are supported and resolved.
