Description:

As Intellectual Property Hub Director you will have management level-experience and a deep understanding of IP exploitation, protection, procurement, and strategy. The role requires expertise in supporting product launches, aligning legal and tax strategies with corporate objectives, building high calibre teams.

As Intellectual Property Hub Director you’ll be joining an organization where people of all backgrounds and experiences are respected, and where we work together focused on changing lives.

In this role you’ll be reporting to the VP of Manufacturing & Site Lead, WuXi Biologics.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Drive implementation of IP Hub operating model to support and promote awareness of the new business unit.
• Oversee billing, foreign exchange management, collection of invoices, accounting, and tax matters.
• Audit in-licensing and out-licencing activities to ensure correct reporting and compliance with licensors and licensees.
• Ensure alignment of IP strategy according to changing business goals and activities of the Company.
• Provide input and support on in-licensing and out-licensing IP-related transactions as needed.
• IP management including support with rationalizing patent / IP portfolio.
• Ensure that all legal protection filings are completed and kept up to date.
• Assist interaction between R&D and commercial activities .
• Manage employees, including employee career counselling and performance evaluation.
• Regularly meet and present updates as well as recommendations on IP activities and initiatives to the Board of Directors of WuXi Biologics Ireland.
• Risk mitigation, valuation of IP and contract reviews.
• Regular engagement with service providers e.g. patent attorneys, legal and tax advisors and bankers.
