ESB ecars is a leading provider of publicly available EV charge point infrastructure across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Great Britain, offering charging services to EV drivers. We're expanding rapidly to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles and aim to be a digital leader in the e-mobility space.
As the IT & Digital Operations Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team, working closely with business stakeholders and third-party service providers to ensure the seamless operation of our digital services and IT systems. This role emphasizes customer-centricity, strong service management, a broad IT & Digital systems background, and familiarity with telecoms and networking technologies. Your role is central to maintaining high availability of these systems for our EV charging network while delivering a seamless experience to e-mobility customers across our digital platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of IT & Digital Operations professionals to support our growing business.
- Operational Support: Oversee customer and technical operational support and service management to ensure timely resolution of service issues and problems for ecars customers, roaming partners, and business teams.
- System Availability: Maintain high availability of ecars IT & Digital Systems critical for operating the charging network and delivering a top-tier digital experience for customers.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with third-party vendors to uphold service quality, system availability, and issue resolution.
- Technology Leadership: Provide leadership and expertise for the operation and continued evolution of e-cars IT & Digital systems, technologies, standards, and protocols.
- Disaster Recovery & Cyber Security: Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery and Cyber Security Incident Response plans to ensure business continuity for ESB ecars.
- System Management: Coordinate system upgrades, changes, testing, release management, on-boarding, and integration of new IT, Digital, and e-mobility operational technologies.
- Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of ESB ecars data, oversee data backups, and leverage it for Data Analytics and reporting requirements.
- Corporate Collaboration: Coordinate with corporate IT and Cyber Security functions for the implementation of group policies, standards, and enterprise system projects involving the ESB ecars business.
- Standardisation Participation: Participate in national and international standardization organizations and working groups to influence the development of industry standards and regulatory developments.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Broad knowledge and experience working with IT & Digital systems, cloud technologies, web services and APIs.
- Knowledge and experience of ITIL practices for service, incident, problem, and vendor management.
- Understanding of communications, networking protocols and network security.
- Familiarity with information security and cyber security standards and regulations.
- Strong networking, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
