Job Purpose:
The Head of Digital Change is responsible for the adoption of digital technologies across the entire hospital - the role is core to the ongoing digital transformation of the hospital, including core foundational projects recently approved by the Executive Management team. The roleholder will drive growth in the business by converting traditional "analog" processes to digital ones, and will oversee operations across mobile applications, digital platforms and related applications, as well as web-based information management and marketing. The Head of Digital Change is responsible for digital consumer experiences across the hospital and its operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing a digital strategy in conjunction with executive management and Blackrock Health for the years ahead - the roleholder will be responsible for end-to-end strategy, design and implementation of the company's digital roadmap as well as mapping digital capabilities to strategic priorities
- Develop and execute on the digital project portfolio. Liaise closely with the Head of Service Delivery in respect of change and project delivery
- Innovate digital processes – develop methods to map old assets to digital processes, without disrupting balances that exist between departments
- Work with clinicians in development of new services (or in new ways of delivering current services) which leverage emerging technologies
- Reach influencers within and outside the hospital. Listen to the community (Patients, Payors, Consultants, Doctors, Staff, Industry Leaders and Innovators) – define how the hospital reaches and interacts with the community
- Empower influencers - provide the tools to empower influencers to drive the hospital’s message, share our brand and influence all potential markets for HC
- Serve as leader/ sponsor for digital process innovation; be the lead intermediary during delivery
- Measure new efficiencies and ROI; connect digital investments to enterprise KPIs in order to achieve positive digital transformation
- Work closely with Marketing in use of digital solutions and platforms
- Provide leadership for the team and ensure an effective learning environment. Strive to ensure that staff are accountable, responsible and have authority to practice and manage within their roles.
- Ensure that all new staff in the team receive an adequate orientation and induction programme, have a clear understanding of their duties, responsibilities and standards of performance at all times.
- In conjunction with the CIO, provide professional and personal development opportunities for all staff working with the relevant Learning and Education specialists to develop an appropriate programme of learning and education based on a planned (individual, department and organisation) training needs assessment.
