What the IT department are responsible for in VWFS:
- The IT department are responsible for the successful delivery of IT Services to the organisation while maintaining a secure, compliant department in relation to IT Minimum Standards.
- Key areas of responsibility include: Project Delivery, IT Support Services (Incident, Request, Change, and User Access), Information Security, IT Risk & Compliance, IT Architecture and ITSCM.
Role of the Information Technology Intern:
- Assist Servicedesk lead in the Service desk function and work closely for the processes such as Incident Management, Service Request Fulfillment and Configuration Management.
- Follow and meet the service level targets for the response SLA for Service desk
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of IT related software and hardware.
- Timely respond to user queries and requests for IT over email, Phone and in person.
- Engage with different team / domain members in IT for Incident and Problem solution.
- Timely escalate the incidents as per the escalation procedure and SLA.
- Coordinate with Service providers and business users for incidents and Problems, which needs tests and timely resolution.
- Perform any other Adhoc task requested by service desk lead.
- Handle floor calls from users only if essential and use maximum remote management.
- Perform user onboarding activities and off boarding activities.
- Maintain asset register as per the VWFS IE FAR policy for all IT Assets.
- Maintain CMDB for IT assets to get the same sync with VWFS AG HQ Client management and other functions
- Keep track of asset orders and update Asset Register and CMDB once assets arrived from supplier.
- Keep Harmony of the assets via Asset naming convention standard used by VWFS IE.
- Perform test via HPALM for applications like Miles and COL.
