It Risk Manager

Description:

I am teamed up with an excellent clients of ours, a market leading financial services company. This is a permanent position accompanied by an excellent salary of between 90-120k, and excellent benefits package, which I can disclose directly due to confidentially.

The IT Risk Manager will manage the IT risk, governance, compliance and security frameworks for entities within the company as part of this effort, successful candidate will collaborate with Service Providers to ensure compliance with IT policies, SLA and control objectives whilst driving focus on service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support IT controls monitoring activities relating to internal/external audit processes and Regulators.

Map resolution and ensuring appropriate level of reporting and escalation.

Identify compliance, information security and business continuity risks to the organization and make recommendations for corrective actions/ risk mitigation.

Report findings to management and communicates recommendations for corrective actions.

Work with existing subject matter experts and Service Providers to leverage and refine training and awareness programs and materials.

Work with Service Providers to ensure information systems adhere to corporate policies and standards.

Stay up to date on changes in regulation, especially those relevant to the financial services industry in the EU in general and Ireland in-particular and remain fully up to date on best practices for IT governance and compliance.

Partner closely with the Risk function to identify, develop, implement and maintain processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks.

Engages, as required, with internal customers, senior business leadership, Board and Regulator.

Assists with establishing and implementing IT operations, systems, policies and procedures that achieve the directives and strategies set by the senior leadership team.

Produce management and performance reports (including Scorecards) to an agreed schedule or upon request.

Works with CIO team on L2/L3 Ops reviews and key meeting prep and executive reviews
