Full Job Description
I am seeking an experienced IT security analyst on behalf of an Irish based client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing the various security risks facing our client's organisation and developing and implementing security measures to ensure the protection of their data and systems.
This is a daily-rate contract paying a very competitive rate. An initial 6-month contract with a high probability of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data and systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks.
- Monitor network activity to detect security incidents and respond to security breaches.
- Perform regular security audits and tests to ensure the continued protection of our data and systems.
- Maintain current knowledge of security threats and vulnerabilities and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- CISSP certification or similar is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption
- Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
