Description:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Engineer to provide technical support, manage infrastructure & project work, and help deliver IT support & installation services. The ideal candidate will be experienced in troubleshooting common IT problems, have experience configuring windows based systems, have experience using M365 admin panel including Entra, Intune, Defender & Sharepoint, have experience troubleshooting network connectivity problems, have experience installing routers, firewalls, switches. It is very important that the candidate can work by themselves. The role involves visiting client sites as needed on a daily basis and helping with technical problems / settings up new hardware & software systems. A full driving license is important as the role is 40% in office, 60% on client sites.
Key Responsibilities
Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients across various industries.
Answering support calls and providing remote support as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other devices.
Monitor and manage network infrastructure, firewalls, switches, and routers.
Support cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
Perform system upgrades, patch management, and security monitoring.
Document issues, resolutions, and maintain accurate client records.
Assist in onboarding new clients and assessing their IT environments.
Provide technical recommendations and IT strategy input when needed.
Occasionally be available for after-hours support or emergency response.
Qualifications
Proven experience in IT support or systems/network administration (2+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common desktop applications.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and basic threat detection.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client environments.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco (preferred but not required).
Valid driver’s license for on site visits (company van will be provided).
