Jewellery Intern

Adam’s Jewellery department is looking for an intern from February until the end of June to assist within the department.

This is a real opportunity for someone who just graduated with their gemmological diploma and is looking to acquire the experience of working within a jewellery department of a leading auction house. In exchange, training would be provided within tasks such as cataloguing, identifying pieces of jewellery/gems and appraisals.

 

The job responsibilities (but not limited to):

- Assist with the day-to-day department’s administration

- Assist with the department’s social media accounts

- Assist with preparation of upcoming jewellery auctions including research, creative writing, cataloguing etc…

- Assist on packing and shipping of purchases

 

Profile:

- Must have a gemmological diploma (GIA/FGA)

- Native English speaker or fluent

- Punctual and flexible with work hours around deadlines

- An avid and keen interest in jewellery, gems and the auction world

- Multitasker, proactive, capable to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A people person with the ability to be professional and helpful with clients

- Competent with Word, Excel, Photoshop, (InDesign would be beneficial)

- Good creative writing ability would be beneficial

- Good presentation/smart attire
