We need you to contribute to achieving the goals to make Ireland more sustainable with green energy!

The Junior Consultant is an entry-level position within the company. The Consultant will support the existing team of engineers and consultants on various assignments for Irish and international clients at different project stages.

The work will include, among others:

  • Collection, analysis, and interpretation of regulatory, market, and technical information related to offshore wind farms in Ireland and abroad.
  • Daily support for technical teams as well as for various project management tasks.
  • Prepare various consultancy reports and proposals.
  • Work on a variety of offshore wind projects, including those in development and construction.
  • Search for and analyse publicly available and Client provided information related to the offshore wind market or a specific topic/area within that market.
  • Prepare and assist with technical inputs on projects.
  • Prepare and assist with review, analysis, and interpretation of technical data, including GIS data input and analysis.
  • Assist with report writing and writing Technical Notes.
  • Undertake analytical work, create, and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
  • Undertake R&D projects, including developing innovative engineering tools and solutions.
  • Attend regular internal meetings and external/third-party meetings as required.
  • Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures, and policies
  • All other tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

The role is primarily office based, but some travel may be involved. The candidate will be expected to undertake general and industry-specific courses in Ireland and potentially abroad.

Depending on the candidate, the role may be developed in one of the engineering areas or packages and project management for offshore wind installations.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered.

You will have a master’s degree in any of these areas, Civil/Structural/Mechanical, Energy/Electrical, Maritime or Environmental Engineering, or you will be in your final year in a numerate or analytical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Science although this is an entry-level position

  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to a diverse range of problems.
  • Good communication skills and excellent report-writing skills.
  • High level of proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to work under own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Analytical ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team including engineers, contract managers and QHSE personnel.
  • Good sales and business development techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of the Irish offshore wind market.
  • Sound and basic technical knowledge of offshore wind farm design and construction, with some specialist experience and skill in related areas.
  • Knowledge of local Irish grid connections and/or consenting.
  • Ability to apply engineering knowledge to a diverse range of problems.
  • High level of proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to work under own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Analytical ability with attention to detail.
