We have a fantastic opportunity for an early career, ambitious Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Cork. This role will provide excellent opportunities for career advancement within an Asset Management Company. They are building within the Commercial Retail Space in addition to Residential Apartments so you will be exposed to a wide range of bespoke builds and retro fit-outs.
To be considered for interview, your skills and experience will include:
- A degree in Structural Engineering and seeking Charter Engineer status
- Minimum 3-4 years post graduate structural design experience
- A keen interest in the project delivery technology
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to structural engineering.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
On successful hire, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for structural components and systems.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions.
- Support project managers in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering.
- Use of structural engineering design software
- Communication with stakeholders, both internal teams and clients on a regular basis
- Building internal and external relationships, good team player
