Lead Frontend Engineer

Description:

As the Lead Frontend Engineer for our Multi-brand Design System, you'll be responsible for creating tools and workflows that enable delivery teams to use and contribute to our design system. You'll collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders, advocate for adoption, and enable teams to iterate faster by focusing on UX.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement tools and workflows for delivery teams to contribute to the design system.
• Work with UX/UI experts in Figma to utilize design tokens and best practices for designer/developer collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with our group standards for our system and products, including accessibility, security by design, and privacy by design.
• Develop and maintain reusable UI code in a multi-brand environment, using best practices for tokens and theming to facilitate optimal reuse of our system.
• Lead the implementation and adoption of the design system across products and teams.
• Support engineers in the team and across delivery teams to unblock their UI library challenges.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to optimize the use of our system in products.
• Enable teams to iterate faster by focusing on UX and ensuring a smooth designer/developer collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Minimum of 5 years working in frontend.
• Concrete knowledge of TypeScript, React, SCSS and Style Dictionary.
• Proficiency in different types of testing strategies for applications and components.
• Proven track record of maintaining design systems.
• Comfortable breaking down large pieces of work into smaller deliverables.
• Experience with micro-frontends and event-driven programming.
• Experience collaborating with designers in Figma, including knowledge of design tokens management and use.
• Experience in Unit Testing and E2E Testing.
