As Learning & Development Business Partner you will develop, implement, and improve processes and practices which facilitate and encourage mixed learning and self-led development. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Take active leadership in Health & Safety activities, always ensuring compliance with the Company Health and Safety policies.
  • Driving a culture of Safety First, where colleagues’ wellbeing is valued and protected.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure best in class safety procedures are embedded and adopted in the boning hall.
  • Work with all stakeholders to conduct job analysis, create, implement, and embed job skill matrices using a standardised and clearly measurable approach.
  • Facilitate learning programmes as needed, for internal courses, with a focus on peer learning and on-the-job interventions.
  • Manage and facilitate early careers programs – including graduates, academy, and apprenticeships.
  • Source external vendors, as needed, leading negotiation, and contracting.
  • Ensure the LMS system is fit for purpose and develop L&D statistical reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of the L&D department spend.
  • Responsible for L&D and LMS platform; content providers and digital solutions; ensuring content; processes and administration of it is maintained; including assessing, developing, and implementing.
  • Assisting to Implement site policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Continuous monitoring and evaluation of the site training programme and report on them on a weekly to monthly basis to HR.
  • Identify gaps within individuals training to ensure that all staff have the opportunity for future progression and or career development.
  • Liaise with the HR, QA and H&S Departments on understanding of the training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Create training and development opportunities, specifically for our Supervisors and Managers, creating a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Embed our core company values with our colleagues through different interactions and touchpoints. Bringing the ABP Way to life.
  • Use Strive and Success Factors for performance management to avail of the opportunity to discuss your professional and personal development in ABP.
  • Embed induction protocol, leading by example and making new recruits feel welcome.
  • Champion and drive HR initiatives such as the employee survey, workers forums, wellbeing events, ABP she etc to create a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Use Lean tools to keep colleagues and team members informed and engaged.

 

What we are looking for?

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role, within HR/Learning & Development.
  • Relentless drive for results supported by strong leaderships skills.
  • Preferably an understanding of agri-food processing facilities.
  • Highly creative with the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate training in a simple but impactful way.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong background using all Microsoft packages.
  • Insights discovery experience advantageous.
  • Experience in establishing credibility with HRDs and business executives, with a strong ability in delivering solutions.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to L&D embracing continuous development and mastering new skills (and helping others to do the same
  • Flexible to weekly day travel across the Ireland and some overnight visits to Poland.
