UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Lectureship in Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical Processing. Working at the interface between Engineering and one or more of the pharmaceutical sciences (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences) we are seeking candidates who will deliver exciting and innovative research outcomes leveraging the strengths of both science and engineering. Applicants who are engineering or science graduates with a PhD and a track record in delivery of research at the interface are welcome.

Within the overall goals of the University’s Futures Pharmaceutical Cluster, the Lectureship in Pharmaceutical (or Biopharmaceutical) Processing serves the strategic objective of promoting and developing through research and teaching the interface between engineering and an area of sciences underpinning the development and manufacture of therapeutic products and treatments. As such, the post will play a key role linking the School of Engineering and Architecture with one of the Sciences Schools, according to the specific profile of the selected candidate.
