The Opportunity

The Legal Analyst @ Walkers (LAW) Programme is now open and accepting applications until midnight on Sunday, 12 March 2023. This opportunity is geared towards graduates and post-graduates who are completing their FE-1s and who are interested in taking on a contract as a legal analyst for 6-12 months.

This programme will provide those who have an interest in financial services and in the law, an opportunity to immerse themselves in these areas and to work with Walkers for an extended period. The programme has been designed to support you in your journey to becoming a future trainee, associate and partner.

We know that financial services can be an alien concept to some and for the most part it isn’t something that is covered by a University degree. But it is an extremely interesting and fast paced area of law and we are offering people an opportunity to learn more about it. During the programme, you will work with lawyers who are experts in their field. You will be part of the team and will work alongside the partners in delivering first class legal advice to clients. Whether you are representing a client in buying or leasing an aircraft, advising a bank (we act for 85 of the top 100 banks in the world), or attending a board meeting for an investment fund, you will be involved at every stage of the process. In the world of finance, transactions move at speed and we deal with different time zones and other lawyers and clients across the globe. It isn’t for everyone, but if it is for you, you won’t learn your craft better anywhere else.

Through this challenging and rewarding programme you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to develop your career and to enable successful programme participants to transition from being a legal analyst to a full time trainee with Walkers.
