Locum Consultant Stroke Physician

Description:

This is a temporary appointment to the Dublin and North East Region on a Public Only Consultant Contract 2023 by Beaumont Hospital (37 hours per week).

Applicants must be registered in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of General (Internal) Medicine. Additional subspecialty training in stroke medicine (eg clinical fellowship) is desirable.

This post will facilitate:
 

• Management of an acute inpatient stroke service that includes providing support to the national thrombectomy service
• An outpatient stroke clinic
• Contribution to the stroke consultation service acute out of hours stroke on call, currently 1 in 8
