Logistics Driver

Description:

Experienced truck driver with category C license needed for brand new specialist delivery team based in Ballycoolin, Dublin. Driver required to deliver stock and product from warehouse to a variety of locations.

Role to also include assisting as an operator on the team in the warehouse, helping with loading/unloading delivery trucks, and delivery of the items on the truck to their destinations on time.

The ideal candidate will have experience in handling and transporting both valuable and sensitive stock, with a track record of efficiency and good time management.

The working hours are Mon-Fri, where shift patterns will be made available.

A high degree of flexibility is required to service the needs of our customer.

Overtime may sometimes occur during the week or on Saturday's / Sunday's.

This is not a driving only role, there will be a degree of physical handling also involved.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collection, storage and delivery of customer product is performed in a cost efficient and speedy manner in addition to ensuring safe passage.
• Liaise with customers on a daily basis with a professional personal approach, to ensure that service levels fulfil or exceed expectations of customer.
• Ensure 100% compliance with customer's operating procedures.

Operations / Administration

• Work with a computerized and a manual stock control system.
• Work with Inventory management and operating techniques including picking, receiving systems, stock counts, cycle counting etc.

Qualifications

• Category C driving license essential
• Previous forklift experience desirable
• Transportation & Warehouse experience in forwarding /logistics or a related industry
• Good understanding of Supply Chain Management / Logistics operations.
