Machine Operator

Description:

The Machine Operative will be responsible for for programming and machining complex components from one-off to small batch work on various material types.. We are currently recruiting for a 2 Year Fixed Term contract.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Operating and understanding the control functions of the machine.
• Editing of programmes for minor changes.
• Machining of parts to a high standard and tolerance.
• Checking the quality of parts and recording it per working instruction.
• Loading and uploading of production parts to be machined.
• Forward planning of tasks and tools required to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow.
• Adhering to safety guidelines.
• General cleaning of machine and tidying working area.
   

Qualifications Requirements And Experience

• Prior experience in a busy machine workshop.
• Strong attention to detail and a conscientious/thorough approach to assigned tasks.
• A good working knowledge of geometric tolerances and symbols.
• Be flexible, proactive, demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and commitment.
• Flexibility to work shift and to rotate between different machines.
