Machine Safety Automation Engineer

Description:

We are recruiting a Machine Safety Automation Engineer to join a world leading medical device manufacturer based in Limerick, Ireland.

As a Machine Safety Automation Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing machine safety changes, carry out risk assessments and manage essential documentation from design to inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop / Approve of design and qualification of machine safety changes
• Carry out Machine Risk Assessments as per ISO 12100 / ISO 14121-1
• Manage essential project documentation from design through to inspection and verification documentation ensuring cross functional alignment
• Standardisation of vendor quality of safety documentation design through to build
• Promote a proactive EHS Culture

Desirable Criteria

• Degree in Engineering with a background in Electrical or Automation and Machine Safety a distinct advantage
• 3+ Years experience working with automated control systems as part of a machine design team
• Safety PLC experience ideally in Allen Bradley or Siemens or Pilz
• Experience in Machine Risk Assessments as per ISO 12100 / ISO 14121-1
• Experience in identifying corrective actions and solutions for EHS hazards and risks identified during risk assessments
