As a Sr Manager of CloudOps SRE, you will join a global team, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and mentor other team members. You will be actively engaged with Product Management, Product Engineering, and others across the CloudOps Delivery team. You will bring your ideas and knowledge to continue to improve and make our cloud deployments more resilient.
Your function will be defining SRE best practices and implementing controls and standards for the team. The CloudOps team is responsible for infrastructure life cycle and you will have ownership of the conception, design, research, development, build, maintenance and monitoring of all product delivery for EMS. We are currently adopting Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines to streamline our deployments and you would be coming in as the Sr Manager for the team that defining and implementing CloudOps Standards. You will maintain operational coverage of Environments residing on our cloud platforms, with a focus on Health and Availability. Additionally, improving automation, scale, process improvement, metric collection, security, and visibility into non-production and production. Leveraging various DevOps approaches which includes but not limited to CI/CD processes, working closely with development teams to ensure a manageable and secure migration of change into the production environment.
- Experience managing and leading teams (4 years)
- General knowledge of UNIX/Linux & Windows
- Experience working on at least one cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Experience with scripting (Shell, Python etc.,)
- Should have experience on build and deployment process for different technology-based applications like Java, .Net, PHP, Node JS, Angular, Python etc.
- Experience with at least one of CI/CD build and deployment system (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub or AzureDevOps GitHub, Maven)
- Experience in Systems Architecture, in-depth knowledge on SRE, IT Operations, Cloud, Coding and Scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, python and .NET, understanding of AI/ML.
- Experience in managing medium to large, enterprise level programs leading cross functional team.
- Experience in managing teams of 4-10 members.
- Experience acting as Scrum Master and leading a scrum team from start to finish (build/deploy/support)
- Strong understanding of cloud native and container based distributed systems like Kubernetes
- Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to develop design and deliver solutions to drive infrastructure provisioning on any cloud platform using Terraform
- Experience with software development, software delivery lifecycle, application modernization, DevOps, Service/Infrastructure as Service and Operations.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Experience in IT Security and compliance, operations and network services, and application development.
- Identifies areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
- Triage Site Availability Incidents and proactively work towards reducing MTTR for customer impacting incidents.
- Partner with Service owners to implement Service Level Metrics & Service Level Objectives that act as service level health indicators.
- Experience in Cloud & Container platform Strategies, Design, Architecture and Migration.
- Ability to communicate at an executive level.
- Experience performing analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions.
- Exposure to open-source technologies
- Experience in Docker, Docker compose, Docker file
- Experience on container orchestration technologies on cloud platforms (AKS/EKS/PKS/GKE Instances)
- Infra automation using Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Terraform
- Working experience of provisioning and managing container clusters
- Experience managing container-based applications
- Good understanding of docker networking, volumes and registry
