Description:
In this role, you will lead a small team of 1-2 employees as well as external accounting and tax service providers and significant involvement in project work. The role also includes working with several cross-functional customers as well as working with external accounting and tax service providers.
Responsibility
- Preparation and management of statutory accounts for a portfolio of countries, including expertise in IFRS, US GAAP or other local GAAP
- Maintain a strong level of expertise relating to accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP), tax and indirect taxes regulations and apply the information proactively
- Run and coordinate audit efforts with internal and external auditors
- Responsible for local tax accounting including tax provisioning process and reviews
- Provide direct supervision and mentorship to subordinate employees through active mentoring, feedback and employee development
- Support Company Secretarial requirements including XBRL reporting
- Act as the SOX coordinator for the responsible countries
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and lead on special projects (e.g. process improvements, automation, M&A, liquidations etc).
- Perform various day-to-day reviews and/or approvals within the Company’s established processes and policies
Requirements
- Must be a fully qualified accountant with a wealth of People Management or Leadership experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a must, ideally for large tech multinational
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- ACCA qualifications required
- Must have US GAAP experience
